Schola Gregoriana Henricus Beauvarlet

The Gregorian Schola Gregoriana Henricus Beauvarlet has been founded by organist Jan Vermeire. The name of the ensemble refers to Henricus Beauvarlet, the 17 th century choirmaster and composer of the Saint Walburga collegiate church in Veurne (Flanders).

The Schola is an independent association. The musical interpretation is based on Gregorian semiology, with use of the Graduale Triplex, and also other restituted sources.

On a regular base, the men sing services and offices of Vespers in different churches.

They are often invited to sing on funeral services and auditions of Gregorian chant on other places. In 2009, they participated in the 10 th International Gregorian Festival of Watou.
